8 week old lab puppy biting EVERYTHING - when does this stop??

So we just brought home our 8 week old black lab puppy Biscuit on Saturday and oh my god, he bites EVERYTHING. My hands, my ankles, the couch, the rug... everything is fair game apparently.

I know puppies bite and it's normal but some of these bites actually hurt. He latches on and won't let go lol. We've been saying "no" and redirecting to his toys but it doesnt seem to be working yet. How long does this phase last? Did anyone's pup just grow out of it or do we need to do something specific?

Also is it normal that he mostly bites during certain times of day? He's way worse in the evening, like he's possessed or something.
