Adopting a bonded pair - what should I know?

The rescue has a bonded pair of 4 year old chihuahua mixes. Ive always wanted two dogs but never had two at once. Is a bonded pair easier or harder than getting dogs separately?

Any tips for bringing home two at the same time?
