Dealing with breed discrimination at rentals

Im SO frustrated. My pittie is the sweetest dog alive. Passed his CGC, does therapy visits at nursing homes, has never shown an ounce of aggression. But try finding an apartment with him? Forget it.

Ive been rejected from 8 places in the last month. One landlord met him and loved him but said insurance wouldn't allow it. Another place said no dogs over 50 lbs (he's 65).

Finally found a place thats breed friendly but its 30 min further from work and $200 more per month. The pit bull tax is real and its exhausting.

Any other bully breed owners dealing with this? How do you handle it?
