how do you handle the dog stealing the kids stuffed animals? our 2 year old beagle mix keeps raiding my daughters room

our beagle mix Penny is 2 and mostly well behaved but she has decided my 6 year old daughters stuffed animals are the best things on earth. she doesnt destroy them, she just collects them. we find them in her crate, under the couch, buried in the yard once. my daughter is getting genuinely upset because a couple of them are special to her and one came back covered in dirt.

we've tried keeping the bedroom door closed but with a 6 year old that lasts about a day before its left open again. Penny has plenty of her own toys including some plush ones so its not like shes deprived. is this a training thing or a management thing? do i just accept this is beagle life now lol
