Potty training is DONE - 7 months but we made it

My shih tzu is officially house trained!! No accidents for 30 days straight! It took 7 months. SEVEN MONTHS. I cleaned up so much pee I should get an honorary degree in janitorial services.

Small breeds are notoriously hard to house train and yeah its true. But consistency works. We went out every 2 hours, treated like crazy, and slowly extended the time between breaks.

If youre potty training a small dog and losing your mind - keep going. It takes longer but they get there.
