One month with our new puppy - some honest thoughts

We got a 10 week old beagle mix named Biscuit exactly one month ago today and I wanted to write something real about it because most of what i read before getting her was either super positive or super negative and neither really prepared me.

The honest truth is that its been harder than i expected in some ways and way more rewarding in others. The first two weeks were rough, mostly because of the night waking and the constant supervision. I felt like a zombie. But then around week 3 something clicked - she started sleeping through the night, started getting most of her potty training right, and her little personality really started coming out.

She's still a total menace who ate one of my slippers and knocked over my coffee this morning. But she also learned 'sit' and 'down' and she does this thing when she's excited where her whole back half wiggles. Worth it. Just wanted to share for anyone who's in the rough first weeks - it does get better pretty quickly.
