My 10 year old Lab started limping after walks, anyone dealt with this?

My yellow lab Biscuit is 10 years old and for the past month or so she's been limping on her front left leg after we come back from our longer walks. It goes away after she rests for 20-30 minutes but it keeps happening.

Took her to the vet last week and they did xrays, said it looks like early arthritis in her shoulder. They gave me some Carprofen but i'm kind of nervous about giving her pain meds long term. She's always been so active and it's hard watching her slow down.

Has anyone else dealt with arthritis in an older Lab? What helped your dog? Any supplements or alternative stuff that actually made a difference? i'm open to anything at this point.
