Spring shedding is absolutely destroying my house - what brushes are actually worth it?

I feel like i am losing the war. Biscuit is 4 years old and every spring i think "ok this year ill stay on top of it" and every year i am wrong. There is golden fur on every surface of my home. I found some in my coffee this morning. I found some in the BATHROOM CABINET which makes no sense because he is not allowed in there.

I currently have the Furminator deshedding tool (the big one) and honestly it helps but i feel like i could brush him for 45 minutes straight and still have enough fur left over to build a second dog. My neighbor swears by a slicker brush plus an undercoat rake used together but i havent tried that combo yet.

What are you all actually using that makes a noticeable dent? Are there any brush combos that work better than just the Furminator alone? Also curious if anyone bathes more frequently during shedding season or if that actually makes it worse somehow.
